So I'm inspired. Yes, inspired. I keep reading some dear friends' blogs, and I want to try and be as clever as they when posting on my blog about my everyday happenings.
So here goes...
I have been dealing with some growing pains lately. I thought those would end when I actually finished physically growing, but that is not the case (considering I have not grown taller since I was 11). Saying goodbye to new dear friends and missing old dear friends has put me in a bit of a tizzy. You can ask the boyfriend. The poor dear has had to deal with the extreme emotional ups and downs for about two weeks now. One minute I'm laughing and joking, the next weeping and "woe-is-me"ing. So, on that note...to all of my friends--While living in paradise is great, I still miss you, and would love to go to Chow Baby for lots of comfort food!!!
On another note, I have decided that I do not understand or get along very well with children entering the 6th grade. First, they sort of smell funny. Not the wet puppy smell that 5 year olds sometimes have, but more like a 8 year old, scruffy dog smell. If you don't believe me, hang around a few 6th grade kids. Second, I have discovered that many parents of children entering 6th grade have not taught their kids to say "yes" to adults when answering a question. I HATE THE WORD "YEAH". It almost puts me over the edge of reason and sanity. Third, I do not know why 6th graders feel the need to use the most inappropriate language ever when talking about nothing!!! I do not claim to not ever use obscene language, but why do kids really think it's cool to use crazy curse words when talking about riding on their scooters? I will never understand this. Please let me get back to teaching wet puppy-smelling 5 year olds very soon!!!!

The Beginning...
So...just over a year ago I decided to actually step out of my comfort zone (or fly in this case) and move across the ocean to a tropical paradise. I owe all of my thanks to my wonderful sister and brother-in-law who are allowing me to live with them in Hawaii until further life events take me somewhere else. I got a job teaching in Special Ed in Ewa Beach, HI, moved here in July, and have been enjoying almost every minute ever since. As many of you already know, great things have happened since I've been here, both to me and my friends and family. Marriages, births, new homes, homecomings, anniversaries, new relationships, new friends, new jobs, and the list goes on and on. I will be sure to post funnies, as well as pics and experiences. Be sure to stay tuned and enjoy!!!
Under Construction!
Hi friends and family. I am going to back post a few very exciting events since my move to Hawaii, and then continue to post random thoughts, experiences, etc. so you guys can keep up! More soon!!!
